Thompson received 970 votes to Ludeking's 494. Thompson, who ran on a platform of change for Tomah and less government spending, left the mayor's office to run for governor in 2002. Ludeking has been mayor since Thompson left office in 2002.

Posting will start at 7:30 a.m. and weight restrictions are effective as soon as the signs are in place. Weight restrictions are: 6 tons for any one axle and 10 tons for any two axles under 8 feet apart. All overweight vehicles are subject to these restrictions unless exempted.
