Adrianna Marie Seroy
Adrianna Marie Seroy, 37, of Tomah, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 in Sparta. She was born Feb. 11, 1972 to Steven and Barbara (Pederson) Seroy in Madison. She attended certified nursing training an received her C.N.A. License. She worked as a certified nursing assistant in a private Alzheimers CBRF and for several years at the University Hospital in Madison. After moving back to Tomah she worked as a cook at Fort McCoy. She enjoyed cooking and was an excellent cook. Adrianna had a friendly and adventurous personality and enjoyed meeting people. She was a person who liked to shop, and dress up. She enjoyed traveling, and for the last eight years had an annual trip to Jamaica and to Florida with her friends and family. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Zach, Dhakari and Deonate, her mother, Barb Sweeney of Tomah, a grandmother Marvelyn Pederson, of Tomah, a brother, Chris Sweeney of Madison, 2 step-sisters, Heather, Shannon and Wendy, an uncle, David (Jackie) Pederson of Madison, 3 aunts, Linda Hale of Tomah, Angie of California and Judy of Missouri, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Steven and a sister, Nicole.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, 11 a.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau Street, Tomah. Pastor Ronald Tobin will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
Relatives and friends are invited to call the at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Mary P. Shuttleworth
Mary P. Shuttleworth, age 73, passed away peacefully on Jan. 28, 2010, surrounded by her family at the Serenity Hospice House in Tomah.
She was born to Milton and Elizabeth (Massaker) Block on May 26, 1936. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Oradell, NJ, and graduated from Dumont High School in Dumont, NJ. On June 23, 1962, Mary was united in marriage to Mark E. Shuttleworth at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oradell, NJ. The couple settled in Nazareth, PA, and moved to rural Tomah in 1977. For almost 20 years Mary worked as a cashier at Burnstad’s in Tomah, where she enjoyed visiting with customers.
Survivors besides her husband, Mark, are her son, Rev. Father Edward Shuttleworth of Prescott; daughter, Beth (Scott) Hansen of Andover, MN; and son, Michael (Cathy) Shuttleworth of Osseo. She is further survived by grandchildren: Derek and Carly Hansen, and Michaela and Tristan Shuttleworth; one sister, Bette Ives of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Robert (Joan) Block of Salinas, CA, and Milton (Dorothy) Block of Andover, VT. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Rita and Anne Marie Block.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tomah. Mary’s son, Father Ed Shuttleworth, will officiate.
Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Tomah. Family and friends are invited for visitation Monday, Feb. 1, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary at 4:30 by the P.C.C.W and a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Family and friends are also invited for visitation Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Joseph D. Gaspie, 79 of Tomah, surrounded by his loving family, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at Tomah Memorial Hospital.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah.
There will be a time of sharing memories of Joseph, starting at 3 p.m., at the funeral home until the time of the service.
The family requests memorials be given in Joe’s memory to the Hospice Touch and the American Cancer Society.
