Basil Chambers, Sr.
Basil Chambers Sr., age 85, of Camp Douglas, WI, passed away Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at the Serenity House in Tomah. He was born Aug. 21, 1924, to Roy and Agatha (Gottsacker) Chambers in Tomah, WI.
Basil was united in marriage to Helen Wood on Feb. 18, 1946, in Valley Junction at Helen’s parents’ home.
He is survived by his children, Basil (Kay) Chambers Jr. of Minneapolis, MN, Terry (Shelley) Chambers of Missoula, MT, Vickie (Kevin) Blount of Valley Junction, Dawn (Robert) Smith Jr. of Sparta, and Darrell (Jenny) Chambers of Bangor; daughter-in-law, Samie Chambers of Mauston; grandchildren, Joel (Lisa) Chambers, Elizabeth (Rodney) Brown, Andrew (Elise) Chambers, John (Mary) Chambers and Anna (Matthew) Paine, Chad (Ambur) Chambers, Ryan (Karee Cocking) Chambers and Stephanie (Michael Hyer) Chambers, Roy (Rachal) Chambers, Allen Randall, Jason (Shannon) Jones, Tye, Tanner and Nicolette Smith; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers, Dorothy (Donald) Benjamin, Everett (Joanne) Chambers, Eileen Schoenbeck and Delmer (Carol) Chambers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Agatha; his wife, Helen; a son, Steve; a grandson, Jeremy; and eight siblings.
Funeral services were held today (Thursday), Jan. 21, at 11 a.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Pastor Jeff Ruetten officiated. Private burial will take place at the Wood Cemetery, Tomah, at a later date. Family and friends called Wednesday, Jan. 20, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Family and friends also called today (Thursday) from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Tomah Hospice Touch.

Honey Feil
Olga Honey Feil Falkner, of Bass Lake, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, while wintering in Arkansas. She was 87 years old. She was born on July 26, 1922, in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia, to Stanley and Gwendolyn (Walker) Honey. She married Joseph Feil Jr. on Feb. 9, 1946, in Australia. He preceded her in death in 1983. The couple returned America after World War II. They lived in Antigo and Tomah where Mrs. Feil worked as a cryptographer at Ft. McCoy. She returned to Antigo and Bass Lake where she enjoyed golfing, playing bridge and entertaining family and friends. In 1987 she married John Falkner; he preceded her in death in 1999.
Survivors include a daughter, Leslie (Duane) Kramer of Arkansas and Bass Lake; a daughter-in-law, Jenelle Feil, Wausau; two step daughters-in-law, Mary Falkner and Grace Wolf of Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Christopher Nuzum, Dodgeville, Michael Nuzum, Lakewood, CO, and Alexa Feil, Phoenix, AZ; three step-grandchildren; a great-grandson, Brian; a brother, Maxwell Honey, Tuncurry, New South Wales, Australia; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Vivienne Nuzum; two sons, Joe in infancy and Rex Feil; a brother, Mark Honey; a brother-in-law, Eugene Feil; a sister-in-law, Louise Feil; a step-son, Robert Falkner; and a step-daughter, Sharon Falkner.
Services will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Langlade County Humane Society or donor’s choice.

June P. Jensen
June P. Jensen, Warrens, age 92, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at Agape Acres. June was born Aug. 31, 1917, to Oscar and Eva (Bennett) Potter in the Township of Scott, Monroe County, WI. June graduated from Tomah High School in 1935, attended Illinois College and La Crosse State Teachers College. She married Roger C. Jensen on Feb. 7, 1938.
Roger and June purchased a cranberry marsh one mile east of the Village of Warrens in 1951 and operated the R & J Cranberry Company until they sold it in 1995. Due to Roger’s health, they moved to Tomah. June worked at Farmers & Merchants Bank in Tomah from 1956 to 1977. After retiring, she worked for three years at the F&M branch in Warrens. She was asked and elected to be the Secretary/Treasurer of the Warren Mills Cemetery Association of Warrens which she did for 17 years. In 1973 June was one of the original organizers of the Warrens Cranberry Festival and was very involved throughout the years. Even until the end, she was always interested in the Festival and proud to have been involved.
She is survived by two sons, Spencer (Carolyn) of Fort Atkinson and Tom of Warrens; three grandchildren: Heidi (Jeff) Kerska of La Crescent, MN, Jeff (Nadia) of Webster, NY, and Stacy (David) Luiser of Fort Atkinson; seven great-grandchildren: Alyson Jensen of Warrens, Jenna and Laine Jensen of Fort Atkinson, Alex and Lily Kerska of La Crescent, and Liam and Leah Jensen of Webster, NY; a brother, Clinton of Black River Falls, and sister-in-law, Marjorie Jensen Gericke of Atlanta, GA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roger, an infant son Jack, son Ronald, grandson Gunnar, four brothers and sisters-in-law: Gerald and Lila, Bennett and Leita, Russel and Ann, Raymone, sister-in-law Ellen, and one sister Merle Potter Racheff.
Over the years, June touched the lives of many people, and even while her health was failing she never lost her feistiness. She will be remembered by many and forgotten by few. While still very sad, this is truly a celebration of life.
The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah will be announcing a celebration of June’s life to be held this spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Warren Mills Cemetery or the charity of your choice.
