Sullivan-Flock announces judicial bid

Attorney Kerry Sullivan-Flock has announced her candidacy for the office of Monroe County Circuit Court Judge, Branch II, the seat being vacated by the retiring Judge Michael J. McAlpine.

Sullivan-Flock is a Sparta native and a graduate of Sparta High School Class of 1980. She graduated from Viterbo College in 1984.

During college she taught in the preparatory department for the performing arts. She graduated from Marquette University Law School in 1988. During law school, she clerked for the law firm of Gray & End in Milwaukee and also worked for the office of legal counsel for Marquette University.

After completing law school, she returned to the Monroe County area and began her legal career with the law firm of Bosshard & Associates. She then served as the Jackson County Corporation Counsel and Personnel Director from 1989 through 1992. In 1993 she began working for Monroe County as its Corporation Counsel and still holds that position today.

Sullivan-Flock is a member of the American Bar Association, Wisconsin Association of County Corporation Counsels and has served as a past president of the Monroe County Bar Association. She has served on the State Bar Committee on Insurance and has also taught business law at Western Wisconsin Technical College.

During her time as the attorney for Monroe County, Sullivan-Flock had the oportunity to help establish the restorative justice programs for the county and had the task of running the department during a transition in administration for those programs.

Sullivan-Flock resides on a farm in rural Cashton with her husband Douglas Flock and her 11-year-old daughter Helen.
