James A. “Jim” Ausman, Judith Jennings, Lenoir “Le” M. (Dwyer) Weibel

James A. “Jim” Ausman

James A. “Jim” Ausman, 57, of Tomah, and formerly of Eau Claire, died Saturday, September 19, 2009, in Eau Claire. He was born in Eau Claire on July 22, 1952, a son of Joseph and Hazel (Smith) Ausman. Jim attended St. Patrick Elementary School and Memorial High School.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army in November 1971 and was honorably discharged in August 1973. Jim enlisted in the National Guard in November 1985 and was honorably discharged in May 1999.

He was a cook at the Wisconsin Military Academy and Army Reserve dining facility at Fort McCoy.

He was an avid Brewers, Packers and Badgers fan. He enjoyed fishing with family and friends.

Jim is survived by a son, Chris Kowahl of Chippewa Falls, his father, Joseph (Marion) Ausman of Eau Claire; four brothers, Paul (Raquel) Ausman of Chippewa Falls, Larry (Deb) Ausman, Roger (Jeri Ann Anderson) Ausman, and John (Lisa) Ausman all of Eau Claire; three sisters, Pat (Doug) Wall, Karen (Greg) Stanton, both of Eau Claire, and Deb (Steve) Brey of Neillsville; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Ausman; and a brother, Steve Ausman.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 322 Fulton St., Eau Claire, with Father William A. Dhein officiating. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery, Elk Mound. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Judith Jennings

Judith Jennings, age 68, of Warrens, WI, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at her home. She was born on March 11, 1941, to Fred and Grace (Jones) Anfinson in Cushing, IA. Judy was a 1959 graduate of Cushing High School. Following high school she attended school in Minneapolis to become a dental assistant.

She was united in marriage to Jerry Jennings on June 15, 1960, in Cushing, IA. Judith and Jerry have lived in Warrens for the past 20 years. Judy was a very determined person with a lot of energy. She was easily self-taught. Two of the most important days of her life were the birth of her son Greg on July 5, 1962, and the day she came to know Christ, on Nov. 7, 1973.

She is survived by her husband Jerry of Warrens; a son Greg (Jessie) Jennings of Tomah; grandchildren Jessica, Bobby Joe, Kristal, Rachel, Brooke and Madison; one brother and two sisters, Aloyus (Hazel) Anfinson of Park Rapids, MN, Beverly (Marlene) Mildenstein of Sioux City, IA, and Dana (Richard) Muckey of Afton, OK; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Grace; and a grandson, Baby Greg.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 10 a.m. a.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Ron Doll, Ray Weber, Dick Bruley and Jerry Jennings officiated. Burial was held at the Warren Mills Cemetery in Warrens. Visitation was on Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Lenoir “Le” M. (Dwyer) Weibel

Lenoir “Le” M. (Dwyer) Weibel, 73, of Elroy died Friday, Sept.18, 2009 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Elroy due to complications of Huntington‘s disease; she was surrounded by her large loving family. LeNoir was born July 24, 1936, in Kendall to Robert and Margaret (Gregor) Dwyer. After graduating as salutatorian of her class in 1954 from the Kendall High School, LeNoir worked for the Agriculture Department at the UW-Madison. She was united in marriage to James A. Weibel in 1958. When her husband decided to go to college, LeNoir completely supported his decision and worked very hard to put him through his years of schooling. Both LeNoir and her husband worked in various Farmers Home Administration offices thoughout Wisconsin. They ended ther careers at the Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC. After her retirement in 1993, LeNoir moved back to Madison, to be closer to family and friends. Jim and LeNoir rarely missed any family event, regardless of the distance they needed to travel to get there. LeNoir was well traveled, even when dealing with her debilitating disease. She loved any form of gambling, especially playing poker with her family. Also LeNoir and her husband raised and showed paint horses. LeNoir will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was always extremely generous to her siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is survived by 3 sisters, Roberta (Joseph) Madden of Elroy, Nancy (Keith) Gibney of Janesville, Mary (Theodore) Welch of Wilton, one brother, Patrick (Rita) Dwyer of Kendall, 2 brothers-in-law Norman Smith of Elroy, and Casey Campton of LaFarge, 2 sisters-in-law,n Johnson both of Florida, many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990, her parents, 2 sons, one in infancy and Gregory Weibel in 1975, 2 brothers, one infancy and Gregory Dwyer, 2 sisters Colette Smith and Bonita Campton, 2 brothers-in-law Karley Kopenhafter and Howard Johnson

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will held Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s the Workman Catholic Church, Kendall. Father Richard C. Dickman will officiate.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the church on Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. and also on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

The Smith-Nelson Funeral Home, Kendall is assisting the family with arrangements.
