Ruth L. Harris
Ruth L. Harris, age 81, of Tomah, WI, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at the Serenity House in Tomah.She was born on July 23, 1928, to Tony and Bertha (Reise) Scholze in the Town of New Lyme. She was united in marriage to Ralph Harris on May 3, 1947.
She is survived by her children, Peg (Chuck) Brenneke of Tomah and Carol Turner of Madison; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Bertha; her husband, Ralph; a grandson, Terrance Turner; and brothers, Arthur and George Scholze.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 10:30 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Pastor William Rice will officiate. Burial will follow at a later date. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Gloria Dei Kitchen Fund or to Tomah Hospice Touch.

Lee Langhorst
Lee Ralph Langhorst, 50, of Streamwood, IL, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, after a battle with lung cancer. He was born on March 6, 1959, in Palatine, IL, to Ralph and Marjorie (nee Claude) Langhorst. Lee graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1981 and earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications. During college, Lee was a member of the UW-L Marching Chiefs Band and Music Director for WLSU, a Wisconsin Public Radio Station. While Lee maintained a long career in sales, he devoted himself to his true passion of music. An avid singer, guitarist, and trombone player, Lee enjoyed sharing his musical talents with family and friends. For several years, he was a member of the Arlington Hts. Community Band.
Lee is survived by his children Luke, Emily, and Max Langhorst; sister Claudia (John) Knutson, Iowa City, IA; and brother Wayne (Linda) Langhorst, Palatine, IL. Lee was preceded in death by his parents. Private memorial services will be scheduled.
