Players will develop attitudes when a coach acts like a cheerleader, is hyper to the point of confusion, prejudges or determines positions, talks out both sides of their mouth, gives the breaks to those that play by their own rules, talks about players in front of other players. Geez this sounds just like why the varsity basketball program folded, oh but wait, hours were put in as well to the youth while this was going on!!! I am from here but please wake up Tomah! However, the point that was trying to be made is the community needs to quit talking about the seniors as a group negatively. Some of the older players that have been singled out in the media or who has a lot of varsity experience or those that have been designated as leaders need to "step up to the plate" as was said by one of their own players on a LaCrosse news channel about the seniors who do not have a lot of varsity experience. They will only turn it around if they are objective, fair and can take constructive criticism from those that truly know the game but perhaps do not like coaching themselves. If they only listen to those that agree with them or make excuses for them, it is the kids that pay the price. "

Before we jump to conclusions and blame it imeadiatley on the tomah football players i would like you to consider a few facts so you can see the game in full spectrum. An MVC conference championship is not a title easily carried especially after losing merely an entire deffense and half of an offense. We have a completley new Linebacker staff(whom have never started a varsity game until this year.) New corners who have also never started. Also a fairly new deffensive line. Now you say "WE NEED TO STEP UP and WE ARENT THAT GOOD OF ATHLETES" ask yourself how often weve been given the chance to prove this to you. IS two games enough to make a descion. On another note it is a big part of an athletes career, foR the parents to seek higher praise in their OWN child than others may see. This is what they call motivation, you see when people believe in athletes THEY STEP UP! when people prefer to write blogs and complain the athletes realize that its not all their fault its the lack of trust our community shows. Thank you for your time but i certainly do not thank for your respect toward the game of football and kids who play.
