The Tomah Sports Boosters Club will host a “Kickoff Barbecue” Thursday, Aug. 7.
It will be held in conjunction with the Fall Sports Parent/Player meetings at Tomah High School.
The cost of the barbecue is $6 for the general public and $5 for students and Tomah Sports Boosters members.
The meal includes grilled burgers, brats or hot dogs, potato salad/chips, beans, dessert and a beverage.
Coaches of Tomah’s seven varsity fall sports -- girls golf, girls tennis, volleyball, football, boys cross country, girls cross country and soccer -- will speak in the auditorium at 6 p.m.
The barbecue is four days before the first practices officially kick off the 2008-09 Tomah High School sports season. Girls golf practice begins Aug. 11, while practice for football and girls tennis begin Aug. 12.
