St. Matthews: Growing Kirby congregation prompts construction of new church

When Pastor Phillip Enderle came to St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church near Kirby four years ago, the future of the church was in question. Pastor Henry Klug retired in 2004, and attendance at services in the small church that was built in the 1920s was dwindling.
