Published - Sunday, June 29, 2008 Legion Seniors lose twice at Viroqua The Tomah American Legion Seniors baseball team lost two games Saturday at the Viroqua Tournament. Tomah was defeated by Viroqua, 11-3, and dropped an 11-1 decision to Westby. The Seniors emerged from the tournament with a 1-3 record. Kevin Barth accounted for most of the Tomah offense Saturday. He was 3-for-4 with a double in the Viroqua contest. He also pitched the last two innings against Viroqua. A lack of players caused Tomah to forfeit its Sunday games at Viroqua against Lomira and Onalaska. Tomah also had to cancel a home Juniors/Seniors doubleheader Tuesday against Mauston when only seven players were available. Tomah also cancelled a Juniors game Wednesday at Wisconsin Dells. Tomah Legion coach Matt Dutton anticipates having full squads again this weekend. The Juniors play a 2 p.m. doubleheader at Viroqua Saturday, while the Seniors host a doubleheader against LaFarge Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. at Dennis Senz Field.
