Published - Tuesday, May 20, 2008 Pedestrian struck by on-duty Monroe County Deputy A pedestrian walking in the traffic lane southbound on State Highway 27 just south of CTH X with his back to traffic, was struck by an on-duty Monroe County Deputy on Monday. The Deputy attempted to avoid the pedestrian but struck him with the squad car's passenger side mirror, according to a Wisconsin State Patrol report. The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to Franciscan Skemp in Sparta with non-life threatening injuries.
