Tiffany Brookman scored twice and goalkeeper Kylie Dietzman made five saves for a shutout as the Tomah High School girls soccer team defeated Holmen, 5-0, in a Mississippi Valley Conference matchup Tuesday at E.J. McKean Field.

Tomah evened its MVC record at 5-5-2.

Holmen kept the game scoreless for the first 35 minutes until Katie Murphy scored off an assist from Nicole Vollmer.

Brookman then scored two goals in the first 13 minutes of the second half. Julia Genrich scored her first varsity goal in the 65th minute, and Vollmer finished off the scoring on a penalty kick two minutes later.

The WIAA playoffs begin Thursday at sites to be announced.
