Curtis Miller, of Sparta, has announced his candidacy for the 92nd State Assembly District.
Miller is a hospital chaplain and ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. Curtis and his wife, Andrea Hansen, have two daughters, Chloe and Sara. Curtis currently serves as a Chaplain and Coordinator of the Clinical Pastoral Education program for Franciscan Skemp Healthcare.
Miller, a Democrat, ran for the same office in 2006, losing to incumbent Terry Musser. Miller said that he hopes to tackle the issue of healthcare, if elected.
“As a hospital chaplain, I continue to see first-hand the tragic effects of our health care crisis that motivated me to run the first time,” Miller said. “I still hear the stories of families struggling with health care costs. I witness people without insurance robbed of their dignity and security.”
