Mark Nicholson is new Lieutenant of Police Sergeant Mark Nicholson, who has been with the Tomah Police Department for 19 years, has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant of Police. His promotion became effective Feb. 24. Nicholson, 39, joined the Police Department as a patrol officer in 1989 before becoming a Sergeant in 1992. Police Chief Wes Revels announced the promotion of Nicholson on Feb. 15. “I thoroughly enjoyed my time as Sergeant,” Nicholson said. “I am also looking forward to new opportunities that will arise as Lieutenant. Nicholson will join Lieutenant Ron Waddell in the Tomah Police Department’s new two-Lieutenant system.
