Thompson reclaims job of mayor; school board race tight

Ed Thompson will be Tomah's mayor once again. Thompson, who served as mayor of Tomah from 2000 to 2002, defeated incumbent mayor Chuck Ludeking by nearly a 2-1 margin Tuesday. Thompson received 970 votes to Ludeking's 494. Thompson, who ran on a platform of change for Tomah and less government spending, left the mayor's office to run for governor in 2002. Ludeking has been mayor since Thompson left office in 2002.
