Alternate-side parking ends today

Motorists will be allowed to park on both sides of the street again as alternate-side parking rules expire today in Tomah, as well as La Crosse, Bangor and several other municipalities.

Alternate-side parking runs from Nov. 1 through March 31 and allows street departments to remove snow in a more timely manner after storms. An exception is West Salem, where the rule stays in place until April 15.
