Vernon Oftedahl Vernon Oftedahl Vernon Oftedahl, age 96, of Tomah, WI, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at the Tomah VA Hospital. He was born on July 9, 1911, to Theodore and Amelia (Skaar) Oftedahl in Stoughton, WI. He enlisted in the United States Army and served in WWII, where he received a Purple Heart.
