This is a person that thinks what they are doing is okay, why would they change? When a grown man preys on a child he should not have the opportunity to EVER do that to another child, 20 years for a third offense sounds just to me, I just hope that before he is ever released it is taken into consideration that he "will" do it again to another child. As far as his children, whose to say that they have not been abused by him already, and if not maybe this sentence will save them from their own father abusing them. He should be in a treatment center. along with the man that got 2 years from the v.a. what is the difference both sex crimes one gets 20 years one gets 2(which I believe is withheld if he completes 2 years probation first) where is the justice in that "

My thoughts are that if he had served his time for his past crimes he wouldn't do the same crimes again and again. It is unfortunate that he has children that won't have a father around. Three strikes, that means he will serve his 20 years in prison, then be transferred to Mauston...Sand Ridge Treatment Center...where he can live a long happy life with other men who prey on children.
And so you know, our prisons are not full of people with driving violations, that would be our jails. Our prisons are full of people that belong there.

There was a guy in Tomah at the V.A. hospital who did something along these lines but only not with minors and got 2 years.....WOW what has this world come to? Look at all the people in the prisions or jail systems....were overloading it on stupid stuff. Half our inmates are there for small things such as driving violations, and probation/ parole violations such as drinking! People should be punished fairly...so what if he has a record before this, im sure he has already been punished for that. Dont use peoples past problems against them. Half these people out there writing these messages should stop and think about this poor mans children...Everyone isn't perfect now days but I find this sentence horribaly wrong. 20 years is going a little overboard....It's fine if we can get all our other criminals to this same judge to be sentenced on the same terms, but highly doubt that will happen.
