Spring is here, and a winter storm is in the forecast

Spring officially arrived at 12:48 a.m. today (Thursday) — despite a forecast of snow tonight and into Friday.

Up to 5 inches could fall in parts of southern Wisconsin, according to the National Weather Service. A winter storm watch has been issued for parts of southwestern Wisconsin, including La Crosse, plus southeastern Minnesota and northeastern Iowa through Friday evening.

Two to four inches of snow could fall in the Tomah area tonight and into Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
