Frank C. Kerska
Frank C. Kerska, 71, of Tomah, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at the Tomah Health Care Center. He was born March 24, 1936, to Charles and Cecelia (Ramer) Kerska in the town of LaGrange on the family homestead. He graduated from Tomah Senior High School. He was a lifetime member of St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard. Frank farmed in the Town of LaGrange until his health declined. He resided with his sister Agnes as his caregiver since September 2000.
He is survived by two sisters Mrs. Robert (Agnes nee Kerska) Kline of Tomah and Mrs. James (Cecelia nee Kerska) Fenzl of Park Falls; one brother, Eugene (Marlene Shaben) of Camp Douglas; seven nieces and nephews, Mrs. Donald (Charlene) Galston of Black River Falls, Mary Amitani of Madison, Raymond Fenzl of Park Falls, Mrs. Joey (Carla) Karcewski of Menomonee Falls, Tracey Kerska of Westfield, Mrs. Paul (Lynette) Lauersdorf of Baraboo and Gene Charles Kerska of Chippewa Falls; three great-nephews, Alexander Galston of Black River Falls and Reece and Dustin Perrigo of Westfield, and two grandnieces, Rebecca Perrigo and Riley Kerska Perrigo of Westfield; two great-great-nephews, James Karcewski and Thomas Karcewski of Menomonee Falls. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Loren.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 303 W. Monroe St., Tomah.
The Very Rev. Steven J. Kachel will officiate. Burial will be in the LaGrange Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service. The Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
